BCM provides its nonprofit organization and co-produces projects for individuals or organizations without 501(c)(3) status.
Why does BCM have to be a producer? The IRS allows fiscal agency to happen if a project falls in line with the nonprofit’s mission. In BCM’s case, movie production projects fit the bill.
Non-profit status provides many benefits: your productions can be covered under the BCM liability insurance, be eligible for grants from foundations and the government, sponsors of and donors to your project can enjoy a tax exempt donation as allowed by law.
